The territory of Bulgaria covers 111,000 square kilometres, a third of this area is covered by the mountain ranges. To the north is the famous Danube river and Danube valley, to the south is the Trakian valley, between these beautiful areas is the equally stunning Valley of the Roses. These places are just part of the phenomenal Bulgarian nature.
The Pirin mountain, the kingdom of the Pelican and Flamingos nature reserve called Srebarna, are under the protection of UNESCO organisation.
The capital of Bulgaria is Sofia, one of the oldest cities in Europe.
